Henry and Katherine Cripps
Always up for a challenge, husband & wife team H&K decided to bring something a little different to Beaconsfield Old Town. With two existing, successful and award winning gastropubs, a busy home life with endless parent duties and an array of day-to-day to-do lists, they threw their hearts and soul into the renovation project that has become one of Beaconsfield’s dining hot spots!
They both refer to their lives as ‘organised chaos’ but their passion and background in hospitality and a great eye for detail shines through. They are firm believers in having a happy team and they want each and every customer to leave No5 feeling like they’ve had a unique and momentous meal, ‘Nothing in this industry is perfect...it’s the challenge of making things better that keeps us interested and we enjoy that the most...We love the changing nature and excitement that surrounds food & drink’.

Over the course of a 15 year career, Scott has worked with numerous Michelin star chefs along the way, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience. Being true to himself and his cooking, Scott has had the opportunity at No5 to take his passion of modern British cuisine to the next level.
Scott’s dream came true when he took the Head Chef position at No5, ‘It’s been such an amazing journey and exciting time in my career to be part of something so special from so early on’. His commitment, enthusiam and creativity goes hand in hand with his vision for No5, being a produce & customer-led business. Particularly important to Scott is the ambition, talent & strength from the kitchen team and having everyone believe in what they’re doing, ‘The team we’ve built here is more than just a group of collegues, it’s a family...it’s a pleasure everyday to arrive, knowing its more of a second home than a place of work’.

Completing the dream team is Scott’s Sous Chef, Jason! As a teenager, skating was his game but unbeknown to him, he found himself drawn to the kitchen. Starting off as a kitchen porter from 16 in his home town, he started to learn and take an interest in food prep. A push from an old boss encouraged him to take his Professional Catering NVQ Diploma Levels 1,2 & 3 and the rest is history!
Jason realised cooking was his forte pretty quickly and following a meeting with Henry & Katherine back in 2010, he went head first into his career working as a professional chef. Having gained an array of knowledge and inspiration as Mikey’s (Head Chef at The Three Oaks) Sous Chef for two years, he was ready for a new challenge and journey, hence his position at No5. Full of great banter and expertise, Jason is a great asset to the team at No5, ‘Now I’m here...I’m feeling blessed!’
